Large Tibetan Buddha Pendant - repousse silver

Buddha sits in meditation surrounded by sculptural animals and foliage. This large vintage pendant is lush with its heavily repoussed design. Measuring 2 1/8” in diameter this substantial pendant is reversible with an expressive, elegant bird design on the back. With a 1/4” bale, this pendant would be great on a thick chain or can be incorporated into a stunning beaded necklace. See the reverse side in image below...... 023Pend $220 [on hold]

Raw Peridot sterling silver Ring - 50 Carats - grass green!

Dazzling grass-green Peridot gemstone in a freeform rough faceted dome on a sturdy and elegant Sterling Silver band. This is a contemporary piece, designed in Australia. Large Peridot stones like this are mined in Burma & Pakistan. It's about the biggest chunk of Peridot I've ever seen on a ring, and a really vibrant pure green rock it is! I estimated the Carat size/weight at 50+ Carats. It is about a size 9 US and weighs 14.2 grams. Great for wearing on the index finger or even your thumb. Can be re-sized easily. The ancient Romans called peridot "evening emerald," since its green color did not darken at night but was still visible by lamplight. Gaze into it like a sublime Green Crystal Ball...... 022Ring $340 [SOLD]

Giant Golden Amber Pendant on sterling silver chain

Huge and glorious, teardrop shaped piece of Golden Amber set on a heavy Sterling silver cone and hung on a nice, heavy & long Sterling chain. I got this in Brazil, where the silver was fabricated, but the Amber is from Russia. Impressive. A contemporary piece from the late 1990s, this pendant is like new and has never been worn. Swings long and golden!  021Pend  $320 [SOLD]

Neanderthal Stone Axe - 50,000 BC - found in France

This ancient tool was found in France in the area of the Grand-Pressigny, in the Creuse riverbed. It is from an area near where Neanderthal camps have been excavated. Beautiful example of the stone-chipping technique these ancient peoples used to create their everyday tools. There is much research these days about the Neanderthal, speculating on their way of life and the genetic heritage they have left in much of the contemporary human population. I believe this one is made out of Honey Flint. Neanderthal tribes in this area lived there between 150,000 and 30,000 BC. The percussion markings are beautiful. It sits really nicely in the hand - superb craftsmanship, a wonder to hold...  [020Preh] If interested CONTACT ME

The Neanderthal woman shown above is "Wilma" as reconstructed for the National Geographic in 2008 . Archaeological findings show that Neanderthal women were just as likely to be hunters as the men.

Amazonian Indian necklace of Monkey Teeth - Brazil

I got this piece in Brazil, over 12 years ago -- it's an earthy combination of monkey teeth and seed beads, made by Indigenous Brazilian Indian people of the Amazon. Their artistry is with natural forest materials; I also have some radiant necklaces made of irridescent insect wings..... Monkey is a constant companion and food source in the jungle. I can't imagine a monetary value for monkey teeth, except that they are almost impossible to find unless you live in the Amazon. Thank you, Monkey.  019Neck $145
